En primer lugar , no dejéis que nadie gobierne vuestra mente ni vuestro cuerpo y emplead especial atención para no poner límites a vuestras ideas poque se puede ser un hombre libre a pesar de sufrir ataduras más fuertes que las de un esclavo. Escuchad a los hombres, pero no os entreguéis a ellos en cuerpo y alma. Sed respetuosos con los que ostentan el poder, pero no los sigáis ciegamente. Juzgad con lógica y con razón, pero no hagáis comentarios.

No consideréis a nadie superior a vosostros, al margen del rango o de la posición que ocupen en la vida. Tratad a todos con justicia, porque si no intentarán vengarse de vosotros. Cuidad vuestro dinero. Aferraos con fuerza a vuestras creencias, y los demás os escucharán.

En cuanto a las cuestiones del amor... mi único concejo es que seáis sinceros, pues es el arma más poderosa para abrir el corazón o ganar el perdón.

In the first place, do not leave anybody governs your mind nor your body and use special attention to put no limits to your ideas because it is possible to be a free man in spite of undergoing the strong fastenings of a slave. You must hear humankind, but you do not give to them in body and soul. Be respectful with those who show the power, but don’t follow them blindly. You must judge with logic and reason, but you must not comment out.

Do not consider to anybody superior to you, despite of the rank or the position that occupies in the life. You deal to all with justice, because if you don’t do it they will try to take revenge of you. Take care of your money. Attach yourself with force to your beliefs, and other they will listen to you.

As far as the questions of the love… my only council is that you must be sincere, because is the most powerful weapon to open the heart or to gain the pardon.
