Holland in miniatuur

Last week Martha (Colombia), Svetlana (Russia) and I were in the first place every tourist must find in the country he is visiting: the “mini-country”. All this mini-world you can find are miniature version of the most important buildings, structures, historical places and attractions in the each city of
the country. With this view you can have more ideas about what cities or places do you want to know or visit.

The place where we were is called Madurodam and was opened officially on 2 July 1952. This amusement park has a very interesting history. It was established for two reasons: as a war monument and as a charity foundation. The joint initiators were Mrs B. Boon-van der Starp and Mr. and Mrs. J.M.L. Maduro.

The place is just AWESOME! You can have a big picture of all Holland in just 2 shoots with your camera. Look it!


The route inside the park let you know the most important places in whole Holland: old castles, churches, WWII monuments, modern buildings, bridges, harbors, wind mills, factories, political buildings, train stations, natural parks, etc.

This kind of attractions must be in every single country in the world! Why we don’t have a park like this? Or we have? :s
