If two people observed from distant spot the same figure and one of them says: that is a man and the other says that is a horse, before supposing that neither distinguishes a man of a horse, it is valid to think that they saw a centaur (at the most, it would be possible to say that as the centaur doesn't exist, both were mistaken).
